Blind man’s bluff poker is similar to other variation of poker, but with an exciting twist – your opponents can see your hand as well as everyone else’s hand, but you can’t view your own hand nor can your opponents view their own hands. This game is usually played by advanced gambles because although you can have a clue on your chances based on your opponent’s hands, betting any amount remains risky.
The dealer gives one card face down to each player. You now have to reveal your card to your opponents. Traditionally, when revealing the cards, a player would stick the card to his forehead. However, modern blind’s man bluff simply requires players to hold their card up without being able to see its value. A round of betting would then take place and the player with the highest value card wins.
Players take turns placing a bet on whether they have the highest card. Everyone would have a chance to become the first bidder for a fair game. When making a bet, the only thing you can do is evaluate the cards of your opponents and make your bet based on their bids.
As a rule, the higher the value of your opponents’ cards, the lower your chances of winning. However, also observe how your opponents bet because they are the ones who can see your card. For instance, if all your opponents’ cards are low, but their bets are conservative, you may have the high cards that keep them from betting. After all bets are placed, everyone would reveal their respective cards and determine the winner who has the highest card.
If you want to give a new twist to your favorite poker variation, you can use the same principles used in blind man’s bluff poker, by simply concealing their hands from themselves.
